Cult clash leaves five dead in Rivers

Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the death of five person’s during a supremacy fight between two rival cult groups, Icelanders and Greenlanders at Abuja Housing Estate, Ahoada main town, Ahoada East Local Government Area of the state.

The spokesperson of the command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko said the five suspected cultists that were reportedly killed are Chukwujeku Kingsley ‘M’ 36years, Chibuike ThanGod ‘M’ 23years and three other who are yet to be identified.

The spokesperson stated that the Commissioner of Police has ordered investigations into the incident, as tactical patrol team have mobilized to the area to restore normalcy.

It was learnt that the gunmen suspected to be cultists invaded a housing estate in Ahoada Saturday night in search of rival cult members of a rival cult group. A  shoot-out ensued between the invaders which led to the casualties.
