He also promised to ensure that someone who must assume the office of commissioner for Agriculture must be one who do not only have knowledge of farming but know about a better way to improve farming.

The SDP candidate insisted on the need to punish people who lie on government documents in the name of agriculture which he said was one of the ways to have a better results in governance.

Abe assured that the plans, ideas and programs that his administration will deploy in governance if given opportunity will meet expectations of Rivers people.

“I want to assure you that we will work together to set targets to achieve food production in the state,’ he said.

He also reassured that his administration would be open to new ideas that will grow the economy.

“ the mist important thing is that we should mobilize Rivers people to understand that we must do things differently if we must go to where we have not gone to, if they continue to do things the same way   then we will not see anything different from what we have always seen, so we are going to be very open-minded,” he said.

One of the stakeholders, Akandu Godwin appealed to the governorship candidate to invest more in agriculture to create job opportunities for youths of the state.
