Diaspora group backs Abe’s withdrawal of petition from tribunal

Senator Magnus Abe’s Support Group in the Diaspora, has declared support for the recent decision of the gubernatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Rivers State to withdraw his petition from the Election Tribunal of the 2023 General Elections sitting in Abuja.

In a communique jointly signed by the group’s Coordinator, Charles Nwankwoala and Dumbari Tsaro Deezua, Secretary, said that they have unanimously agreed to pledge their unflinching support to Abe’s decision.

The communique reads : “On Sunday, May 7, 2023, the Senator Magnus Abe Support group in the diaspora had a congress meeting for an internal review of the just concluded elections in Rivers State, the ongoing litigations, withdrawal of his petition and to chart a way forward.

“The house unanimously agreed with the reasons for the withdrawal and hereby support the decision.

“We also wish to declare that we are firm, steady and solidly behind him in any subsequent public or political endeavors”.
