Killers of Mgbuoshimini CDC Chairman won’t go unpunished, Rivers CP assures family

Rivers State Commissioner of Police, CP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has assured that killers of Mr. Ndidi Livingstone, the Community Development Committee (CDC) Chairman of Mgbuoshimini would not go unpunished.

This is even as he called for synergy in the fight against crime in communities in the state.

The late CDC Chairman was shot dead in front of his church by unknown gunmen close to Rumueme waterfront on January 13, 2024.

CP Disu made this known when he led members of his management team alongside the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Agip  Division on a condolence visit to the family.

According to a statement by the spokesperson of the Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, the CP who was received by Godspower Livingstone, the elder brother of the slain CDC Chairman, condoled with members of the family.

He stated that he was empathetic of the family’s plight and was moved to commiserate with them, assuring that he will not leave the matter unattended, as the killers will not go unpunished.

He promise that very soon, the command would unravel those behind the dastardly act.

Responding, elder brother of the deceased, Godspower Livingstone thanked CP Disu for the reassuring visit and for making efforts to apprehend the killers of his brother.

The statement further stated that the manhunt for the killer squad was still ongoing.
