Khana Inter-Party Stakeholders Meeting, gathering of Wike’s ‘errand boys,’ says Yamaabana

The 2023 House of Representatives aspirant for  Khana/Gokana Constituency,  Dr. Legborsi Yamaabana has described the recently held Inter-Party Stakeholders Meeting in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State as a mere meeting of politicians loyal to the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.

Recall that a combination of party faithful of the All Progressives Congress, Peoples Democratic Party and Social Democratic Party held a meeting at the weekend in the area.

But Yamaabana while reacting to the gathering in a statement, said the meeting has no political bearing whatsoever on the area, calling on security agencies to monitor those who convened the meeting in case of any security breach in the area.

He said: “ The purported Inter-Party Stakeholders meeting held at the residence of the member representing Khana/Gokana on June 1, 2024, should not be taken seriously by any reasonable person. Those who convened this meeting are merely acting as errand boys of the former Governor of Rivers State and current Minister of the FCT, Chief E.N. Wike. These individuals are acting the scripts of their political paymasters, who are conspiring to destabilize the state. Their primary objective is to incite a new crisis in Khana and by extension Ogoniland but we’ll resist them.

“Rivers State is peaceful under the leadership of His Excellency, Governor Siminalayi Joseph Fubara (GSSRS). And No one will be permitted or allowed to take us into another Armageddon.

“Therefore, we urge security agencies in the State to closely monitor those who organized this meeting to prevent any potential crises in Khana and, by extension, Ogoni land.

“We also call on our people and the general public to stand in solidarity with Governor Fubara, who has clearly set the state on a path of progress and development”.
