Yobana committed to serving Khana people, Yamaabana tells students

The Supervisor for Youth Affairs in Khana Local Government Area, Dr. Legborsi Yamaabana, has reiterated the commitment of the Ambassador Marvin Yobana-led Caretaker Committee to domesticating Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s ‘Rivers First’ Initiative in Khana local government area by empowering and putting the people of Khana first.

Yamaabana emphasized this commitment while receiving a delegation of student leaders from the National Union of Khana Students, led by its National President, Comr. Meelubari Deede, at the Khana local government liaison office, Bori.

The 2023 aspirant for the Khana/Gokana Federal Constituency under the Peoples Democratic Party and current member of the Khana Caretaker Committee assured the students of Yobana’s open policy and appealed for their support for the simplified leadership of Sir Siminalayi Fubara, and Amb. Marvin Yobana.

He also used the opportunity to condemn the recent protest by some persons from Babbe Kingdom of the LGA, calling for the removal of the CTC Chairman. He stated that the protest was carried out in bad faith by those envious of Amb. Marvin Yobana’s achievements within just one month in office.

He noted the presence of his former ally, Neebari Baranu, at the protest, clarifying that he had distanced himself from Baranu due to his antagonism against the Khana Caretaker Committee leadership.

Yamaabana warned that no one should associate him with Baranu, adding that aside from wrongly accusing the CTC Chairman, Baranu is also advocating for Babbe to produce the next chairman while stressing that  as someone from Nyo-Khana, he is not connected to such agitation.

Student leaders at the meeting,  pledged their  support for the Governor and the Caretaker Chairman.
