South South Youth Leader Bags Students Award

National President of the South South Youths Initiative, SSYI, Comrade Imeabe Saviour Oscar has bagged an award of excellence from the Senate Wing of the National Union of Gokana Students Worldwide.

The award was presented to him as part of events marking his birthday celebration in Port Harcourt.

Presenting the award, Senate President, Senate Wing of the National Union of Gokana Students Worldwide, Comrade Kpenu Burabari Solomon said the award was in recognition of his philanthropic gesture towards the students community.

He also lauded the leadership style of Comrade Oscar, urging youth leaders in the state to emulate him.

“He has been a very supportive person to the students community. He always support when he’s called upon and so he deserves this award.

“He is good at humanitarian services and I urge students and other youths leaders to emulate his lifestyle,” Solomon said.

Responding, Comrade Imeabe Saviour Oscar, thanked the students for the honour bestowed on him.

He said he would continue to do all within his powers to better the lots of the society.

“I never knew that my little efforts was attracting and also encouraging the youths but today I feel very excited that I’m recognised by the students’ arm, also as a former students union leader, I believe that we can live in a way that we can be emulated by others.

“What the youths lack right now are role models and for those of us trying our best to be role models to others, I’m happy that our effort is being recognised,” he said.
