Group celebrates World Water Day

As part of activities marking the 2025 World Water Day Celebration of the United Nations, a group, International Association of World Peace Advocates have organized a programme to celebrate the day in Port Harcourt.The group also inducted some distinguished Nigerians as Ambassadors.
Speaking at the occasion, International Director of the group, Professor Chidi Ehirodo said the day is used to commemorate the importance of water to humanity, describing water as life.Ehirodo Stated that while his organization exist to promote peace, it also aligns with the United Nation’s activities every year in order to disseminate knowledge and foster formidable peace which guarantees progress in the society.
He went further to say that the inductees are appointed to serve as volunteers in order to promote human dignity and world peace.
“We appoint men and women as Eminent Ambassadors to promote knowledge and global peace. You are not receiving an award but rather an appointment to join in the league of human dignity and promote peace,” he said.In his opening remarks, Chairman of the Occasion, His Highness, General Bright Ateke Fiboimimama informed that the human body is made up of sixty percent water and therefore everyone should ensure that they protect the water bodies as they are a source of life.
Also speaking, International Spokesman of the association,  Dr Emma Nkweke admonished the inductees to be of good character as they are the image of the organization.
Receiving the award as an Ambassador, Publisher of The Port Harcourt Spectator Newspaper, Dr Parry Psaroh Benson, thanked the organisers and promised to always promote the goals and objectives of the group in the media.In his response, another inductee, Apostle Francis Adegbenro who has touched lives through estate agency, called on fellow inductees to invest into humanity as it is divine.
