Light-Up Khana Initiative Receives Boost as Council Chairman Takes Delivery of 22 Transformers

‎The Light-Up Khana initiative has recorded another boost as the  Chairman of Khana Local Government Area, Dr. Thomas Bariere, took delivery of a total of 22 units of 500KVA transformers.

‎‎This comes barely weeks to his 100 days in office celebration. The latest batch of five additional transformers further strengthens the chairman’s  aggressive push toward improving electricity supply across the LGA.‎‎The new supply comes just six days after the council received a similar batch of five transformers, which had brought the initial total to 17.

The initiative according to the ccouncil, reflects a deliberate and strategic investment in restoring long-term power stability in both urban and rural communities.‎‎

According to the Special Adviser on Power to the chairman, Dominic Teteh, the newly acquired transformers are designated for Kaani-Babbe, Taabaa, Kpean, Kaani, and Baen communities. This follows the earlier allocation to parts of Bori, including Gure, Pue, Buan, and Eweh.

Residents across these areas have expressed  hope that the persistent electricity challenges that have plagued the LGA for years will soon be a thing of the past.‎‎
