The All Progressives Congress (APC) under the Renewed Hope Family, in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State have formally flagged-off campaign activities for the Khana Constituency II House of Assembly bye-election.
The bye-elections which is slated for February 21, 2026 is for Khana Constituency II and Ahead East Constituency II.
The event which took place at the Opuoko Town Square on Sunday, attracted a massive turnout of supporters, leaders and members of the Renewed Hope Family/Rainbow Coalition, signalling strong grassroots mobilisation and growing momentum for the election.
Rivers State Chairman of the APC, Chief Tony Okocha, who officially handed over the party flag and symbol to the APC consensus candidate, Mrs. Bulabari Henrietta Loolo, expressed delight at the overwhelming turnout.
He described the gathering as a clear reflection of the popularity and wide acceptance of the Renewed Hope movement in Khana.
He further conveyed the party’s confidence in the candidature of Mrs. Loolo, assuring her of the total backing of the APC at the state level to secure victory at the polls.
Earlier, the member representing Khana/Gokana Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Dum Dekor alongside the Chairman of Khana LGA, Dr. Thomas Bariere, welcomed party leaders, stakeholders and supporters. They noted that the impressive crowd signified the unity and collective resolve of the people of Khana Constituency II.
They emphasized that the local government was fully mobilised and ready to deliver the APC candidate, adding that the Renewed Hope Family and Rainbow Coalition were solidly on ground and optimistic about the outcome of the election.
In the same vein, the BOT Chairman of HYPREP, Emma Nwika Deeyaa, the Deputy Minority Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Mrs. Barile Nwakoh; the State Secretary of the APC, Chief Eric Nwibani and other party leaders reaffirmed their unwavering support for Mrs. Bulabari Henrietta Loolo and pledged their readiness to work tirelessly to ensure her victory on election day.
