Rivers police arrest suspected killers of final year RSU student

The Rivers State Police Command, Tuesday night, said it has arrested two persons in connection with the killing of a final year student of the Rivers State University, Prince Tuaka.

Tuaka, a student in the department of Agriculture, was gunned down  by gunmen few minutes after his final exam on Monday afternoon near the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, female hostel in the school.

It was gathered that the reason for his killing was due to a supremacy battle between Vikings cult group and Klux Klux Klan cult group.

Tension also heightened in the institution on Tuesday as gunmen on reprisal attack raided the institution, halting academic activities for hours.

Omoni Nnamdi, the Rivers State Police Command spokesman in a statement said “two persons have been arrested in connection with the RSU Cult clash and are helping us in our Investigation”

He gave their names as Elechi Chibuzor and Nnamdi Chibundu, whom he revealed were arrested Tuesday evening.

“They are helping the Police with useful confessions and Investigation is at an advanced stage.

” CP Mustapha Dandaura is still appealing to you to help us serve you better by sharing credible information that can assist us in our determined efforts to tackle these hoodlums” the statement read.
