Rivers: Cultists, vigilante clash in Ubima leaves one dead

Reports say a suspected Icelander cult leader simply identified as “Skillywa” has  been killed by Ubima Security And Advisory Planning Committe(UbiSPAC).

The clash between the cult group and UbiSPAC, a local vigilante group in Ubima community in Ikwerre local Government area of Rivers State, occured on Tuesday.

Ubima is the hometown of Transportation Minister, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi

It was gathered that the suspected Icelander cult leader was among criminal elements in the area on the wanted list of security agencies.

He was alleged to have invaded the community with some of his members before the clash ensured leading to his arrest by the vigilante group.

Other members of his group reportedly escaped.

Community sources said he died from the injuries he sustained during the gun battle.
