Insecurity: Clergy calls on church leaders to unite in prayers

By: Felix Ikpotor
A clergyman, Rev. Godswill Keenam has harped on the need for Christian leaders in Nigeria to unite and pray for the peace of their respective cities and states.
Keenam who is the president of Global Leadership Prayer Forum stated this during the formal inauguration of the Rivers State Leadership Prayer Forum held recently in Port Harcourt.
He said the essence of the forum is to provide an avenue for Christian leaders to come together in their respective cities to pray for the peace of the nation.
He said at this stage, Christian leaders can no longer sit and watch as the cities of the world continue to wallow in troubles as cultism and social vices is taking over.
“We have come to a time that our generation is in trouble as cultism and different vices has taken over our cities and even our churches. And so we feel that if our Christian leaders can come together and intercede unbehalf of their land, I believe God will hear them” he said.
He expressed the hope that as leaders come together under the forum, they will also effect the needed change in their cities.
