Abductors of Rivers council chairman demand N150 million

Almost one week after the Chairman of Okrika Local Government Council in Rivers State, Philemon Kingoli was abducted, his abductors are now demanding the sum of One Hundred and Fifty Million Naira (150M) for his release.

 The  council boss was kidnapped at gunpoint along Odili Road in Port-Harcourt last Wednesday.

He was said to be heading home after attending a stakeholders meeting of the Okrika Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chapter, where arrangements for the flag-off of local campaigns for the upcoming Local Government elections in the state.

Sources who disclosed to this publication say the demand for ransome has calm down the apprehension among his family members who before now knew nothing about his whereabouts.
