Reps committee on FERMA visits dilapidated Akpajo bridge, others

Member representing Khana/Gokana Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dumnamene Robinson Dekor, recently led a delegation of House of Representative’s committee on Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA) on oversight visit to selected federal roads in Rivers State.

One of the roads visited was the Eleme/Akpajo road which has given users lots of concern recently especially as a truck fell from the bridge just a few days ago.

 Dekor while speaking with journalists during the visit explained that the purpose was to inspect on-going projects that were budgeted for and those that came under COVID-19 intervention programme.

 He added that the visit is expected to cover the entire South-South region.

The lawmaker commended FERMA Rivers State Field Branch for their efforts and called for proper funding of the agency.

Some of the roads/areas visited in Rivers State were: Omerelu-Imo State boarder road, Igwuruta Chokocho-Okehi-Okpala road in Riovers State.
