Protesters in Benue ask Suswam to bring back stolen money

News coming from Makurdi, the Benue State capital, has it that a protest against the immediate past Governor of the state, Gabriel Suswam has been held in the state capital.

The protest, phspectator gathered was convened by a group known as Benue Prospective Employees Forum in conjunction with Benue Democratic Youths Ambassadors For Change Initiatives.

The protesters among other demands are calling on the former governor to bring back the money he allegedly stole while in office between 2007 to 2015.
The protesters, who displayed placards bearing various inscriptions along the Gboko-Makurdi high way, called on the anti-graft agencies to go after Suswam and his men who looted Benue State.

Meanwhile, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state, Samson Ikwuje has described the protest as a display of ignorance.

He accused the state governor, Samuel Ortom of sponsoring the protest just to rubbish Gabriel Suswam.
