I need your prayers to succeed, Awortu tells Andoni people

Chairman of Andoni Local Government Council, Hon Erastus Awortu has declared that his administration will change the narrative in Andoni Local Government Area.

Andoni has in recent times been in the news for multiple incidents of cult related clashes with many locals fleeing to nearby Communities in Khana Local Government for safety.

But  Erastus said all he needs to actualize his plans are the prayers and support of the people of the area.

This is as he thanked them for their support before, during and after the election that saw his emergence as the democratically elected Chairman of Andoni Local Government Area.

The newly sworn-in Andoni Council chairman made the declaration at a reception organized in his honour by the leadership of PDP in Andoni LGA immediately after his swearing-in by the Governor of Rivers State on Thursday.

He promised to adhere strictly to the directives given to all the council chairmen by the governor.

“We are sincerely grateful to you for your support before, during and after the elections but it is not enough to campaign and vote for us, we also need your prayers to succeed.

The reception which held at East lake Hotel in Port Harcourt was graced by: Rt. Hon Ikuinyi- owaji Ibani, Speaker Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Dagomie Inombek Abiante, House of Rep member, representing Andoni Opobo/Nkoro Federal constituency ,  former Vice Chairman of the Council, Hon. Keziah Mbaba, , Elder Charles Awortu, Hon Engr Ofiiks Kagbang.

Others are the Former CTC chairman of Andoni, Chief Dr Allen Jonah Abbii, Chief Silas Eneyor, Chief Davies Ibiamu Ikanya amongst others.
