Security operatives yesterday foiled a robbery attempt along the Stadium Road, Elekahia in Port Harcourt.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Ahmad Muhammad in a statement stated that the robbery was squashed, due to the high professional prowess of some security operatives, who noticed the two vehicles trailing a bullion van conveying money from a commercial bank in Trans Amadi Industrial Layout, the business hub of Rivers State.
The security operatives had engaged the robbers in fierce gun battle at stadium Road, which left two of the robbers dead and arrested six, while others escaped with gunshot injuries.
