Court remands Jonathan’s cousin in Kuje Prison

An Abuja Federal High Court on Tuesday remanded a cousin to former President, Goodluck Jonathan, Mr. Azibaola Robert at the Kuje prison.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, had arraigned Azibaola alongside his wife Stella before Justice Dimgba on a seven-count charge bordering on money laundering and fraud.

EFCC alleged that the couple alongside their company, Oneplus Holding Limited received the sum of $40m contract from the embattled former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.

Justice Dimgba, while ruling that Azibaola be remanded in Kuje prison pending the determination of his bail application, ordered Stella to continue her administrative bail earlier granted her by the anti-graft agency.
