Bishop lambasts Imo politicians over bad roads

Anglican Bishop of Ikeduru Diocese, Rt. Rev. Emmanuel Maduike has lampooned politicians of Ikeduru extraction for poor state of roads in Ikeduru Local Government Area of Imo State.

The clergyman who spoke during a church service at Iho on Sunday wondered why roads in Ikeduru local government are not in good shape.

He wondered why a local government with political heavyweights should be so poor in road infrastructure.

The bishop challenged politicians from the area to attract the dividends of democracy to the area by ensuring that roads in the area are constructed.

The Anglican Bishop praised the state governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma for the quality of roads his administration is constructing in the State.

He said it clearly demonstrates the commitment of the government to the welfare of the people.

The respected preacher, while commending the governor for the feat, noted that the infrastructure will go a long way in making life better for the people of lmo State, both residents and visitors alike.

He urged the governor to sustain the momentum and accelerate the pace of good governance in the State.
