Police nab 2 for allegedly beheading 9-year-old in Rivers

Rivers State Police Command says it has arrested two suspects, Chibuzor Amadi and Kenneth Sylvanus, who allegedly murdered and severed the head of a nine year old boy, Destiny Peter, in a bush at Azunmini Community in Isiokpo, headquarters of Ikwerre Local Government Area of the state.

The incident it was gathered happened on Thursday, November 11, 2021.

The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Nnamdi Omoni, while briefing newsmen, revealed that Destiny was lured by the suspects to the bush where he was beheaded, his stomach severed with his intestines removed.

Omoni disclosed that the matter has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation, and that justice will be served in the matter, adding that the remains of the deceased has been deposited in the mortuary.

Victory Johnson, aunt to Destiny, amid tears, said the late boy was last seen on Thursday at about 4:30 PM after her neighbour, Kenneth, invited him to his house.

She said the body of Destiny was found when youths intervened after a girl recalled seeing Kenneth heading to the bush with the boy.
