Mr. Friday Bema has been confirmed as the substantive Auditor-General for Local Government Areas in Rivers State.

His confirmation followed a successful screening by the Rivers State House of Assembly (RVHA), on Monday.

The assembly screened the nominee following a request sent to it by the state governor, Nyesom Wike.

The nominee while answering questions from lawmakers during the screening, promised to furnish the assembly with yearly audit reports of the local councils in the state.

While confirming him, the speaker of the assembly, Dabotorudima Adams urged him to discharge his duties with discipline to move the state forward and to bring sanity to the local government system in the state.
