Rivers CEO Roundtable postponed

Organizers of the Rivers CEO Roundtable has postponed the second edition of the summit to a yet to be announced date.

Convener of the summit, Mr. Folarin Omotade Banigbe-Philips announced the postponement while briefing newsmen in Port Harcourt yesterday.

The event was initially billed to hold from July 26 to July 27, 2016 at the Dr. Obi Wali International Conference Centre in Port Harcourt.

Banigbe-Philips stated that he was saddened to have announced the postponement of the summit, stressing that it became necessary due to some reasons beyond their control.

He however, noted that although the event has been shifted, it would allow them the opportunity to further make the event the biggest and the most positive.

Banigbe-Philips who is also the Publisher of the PH Microscope newspaper used the medium to highlight some of the achievements of the first edition of the summit to have given business owners and the government a forum to discuss on how to make businesses work in Rivers State.

He pointed out that most persons go outside the state to look for services that can be provided by companies in the state because of the poor network system between business owners in the state, adding that one of the aims of the summit is to create a network between business owners and the government.

The theme for this year’s summit is: “Creating Wealth Through Agriculture, Entertainment, Technology and Tourism”.
