PDP chieftain disowns son over political difference in Rivers

A staunch Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart in Rivers State, Prince Emma Anyanwu has disowned his first son, Charles Anyanwu for allegedly invading his home with security men and for other alleged political misunderstandings.

Emma Anyanwu while speaking at a PDP event in Etche Local Government Area of the Rivers State said his first son Charles is no longer a member of the Anyanwu Dynasty and as such nobody should deal with him on the basis of the family.

Charles Anyanwu is a former Caretaker Committee Chairman (CTC) OF Etche Local Government Area.

Prince Emma Anyanwu said, “let me publicly disown my son for his behavior, not minding getting to break my house with soldiers and also destroying the Ulakwo Community Ancestral Hall which I hold in allegiance in life. He losses the rights and privileges in Anyanwu’s dynasty. He remains disowned today; anybody who deals with him is on his own. He is no longer my son because he doesn’t possess the character and image of Anyanwu dynasty.”

It would be recalled that Charles Anyanwu who is an ally of former governor of the state and leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Ameachi has been at loggerheads with his father over political differences especially prior to the 2015 elections where he was arrested and detained few days to the elections for alleged gun possession of unlicensed firearms.

Some said he was made a CTC chairman to directly fight his father who is the leader of PDP in Etche.
