JSDN holds 2016 Public Lecture

…Unveils new logo for phspectator.com

Journalists for Sustainable Development in Nigeria (JSDN) said it has concluded plans to organize her 2016 Democracy Day public lecture.

A statement signed by Parry Saroh Benson, Executive Director and Mr. Promise Bebu, Chairman, Organizing Committee of the event said the Public lecture holds on Friday June 10th, 2016 at the Ernest Ikoli Press Centre (NUJ) Secretariat, Moscow road, Port Harcourt by 10:00am prompt.

According to the statement, the theme for this year’s public lecture which is co-organized with Port Harcourt Spectator Newspaper is “Challenges of Security and Economic Development in the Niger Delta” under the distinguished Chairmanship of Chief (Professor) Lawrence Igwe, Dean, Faculty of Education, University of Port Harcourt.

It noted that Mrs. Ibim Semenitari, Acting Managing Director of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) will be Special Guest of Honour while Former Super Eagles Captain, Joseph Yobo will be Guest of Honour.

Furthermore, the event will feature unveiling of the new logo of Port Harcourt Spectator Newspaper and the online version of the medium (www.phspectator.com) as well as presentation of awards to some notable Nigerians who have contributed immensely to the development of Nigeria among whom are His Majesty, King Godwin N.K. Gininwa and Eze Christain Akani.
