Wike expresses shock over Amodu’s death

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has expressed shock at the sudden death of Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) Technical Director, Former Super Eagles Coach and Former Defunct Sharks Football Club of Port Harcourt Coach, Amodu Shuaibu at the weekend.

The governor paid his condolences to the Nigerian Football Family, the immediate family of Coach Shuaibu and the NFF.

He said the death of Coach Shuaibu further depletes the community of football tacticians available to the country.

Wike prayed God to grant Nigerians the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

He said the achievements of Coach Shuaibu will always remain evergreen in the memories of football loving Nigerians.

He called for prayers for the football community in view of the death of two senior tacticians, Stephen Keshi and Amodu Shuaibu in just one week.
