Amaechi bags most outstanding traditional ruler award

His Majesty, King Samuel Ndiwe Amaechi, Onye Ishi Agwuru of Igbo Kingdom in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State has been honoured with the prestigious Gold Excellent Achievers Award as the most outstanding traditional ruler in Rivers state in 2015/2016.
The award was presented to King Amaechi by the South-South Alliance Media Practitioners (SSAMP), in his palace in Umuokwa in Edegelem community, Igbo-Etche, Etche LGA on Saturday June 18, 2016.
Presenting the award, Mr. Kelvin Fubara, the Chancellor, South South Alliance Media Practitioners congratulated King Amaechi and urged him not to rest on his achievements that has attracted the honour and noted that the group resolved to honour him because he merited the award.
Earlier in his address, Comrade Joseph Asomeji, Rivers State Coordinator of SSAMP said King Amaechi’s outstanding leadership qualities, his philanthropic gestures towards youth empowerment and sponsoring education of the handicap ones, his passion and support for the less privileged and commitment to saving lives as a medical practitioner, among others endeared the group to honour him.
In his response, King Amaechi, thanked the group for finding him worthy of the award.
Amaechi, who is also the Medical Director, NOBSAMS Hospital noted that as a medical practitioner, he is on oath to save lives and stressed that the award will spur him to do more.
He however, advised journalists to give both the state and federal government all the needed support to succeed and charged them to always apply professionalism in their reportage.

He dedicated the award to God Almighty and his family.
