Rivers Police kill three robbery suspects in gun battle

Three armed robbery suspects were on Monday at about 12:00pm killed by men of the Nigeria Police Force during a gun battle in Government Reserved Area (GRA) of Port Harcourt.

Phspectator gathered that the robbers had successfully carried out their robbery operation in the area when the police, acting on a tip-off stormed the scene of the incident.

Parading bodies of the three suspected arm robbers before Journalists at the Police Officers Mess, Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Foluso Adebanjo commended his men for a job well done.

CP Adebanjo also disclosed that the police on the previous day arrested five kidnapping suspects.

He hinted that the action will send a serious signal to other criminals that the state is no longer safe for them to operate.

His words, “This is to tell other criminals out there that the state is not going to be easy for them. It is either they relocate or they repent”.

Adebanjo further stated that since his assumption of office as the Commissioner of Police in Rivers state on June 21st, 2016 over 100 armed robbery and kidnapping suspects have been arrested by the command.
