NFF signs deal for Super Eagles coach salary

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has signed a deal for the payment of the incoming Super Eagles coach.

The football house struck the deal on Wednesday with a consortium of private firms, who are mainly into oil and gas.

This ends days of controversy over the payment of the newly unveiled foreign coach.

PUNCH reports that the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), is not directly footing the bill, which made the NFF to make clarification following the earlier controversies.

“They may have been involved with helping to broker the arrangement but it isn’t directly NNPC funded and that was why the NFF had to clarify the situation. But soon the details will be made public because the deal was signed in Abuja today (Wednesday),” an NFF official said.
