Coach of Leicester City, Claudio Ranieri has told France international, N’Golo Kante to come up with a decision on whether he is staying at the club or leaving.
He also said that the exit door is open if the midfielder is not satisfied at the club.
“If he’s unhappy, I prefer if he goes,” Ranieri said.
Kante was one of the top class players that helped Leicester City to emerge league winners last season but reports suggest that he could well be set for a summer exit.
The 25-year-old joined from French club-Nice for a fee of £5.6 million last summer.
His performance has attracted interest from top clubs like Chelsea.
But, Ranieri is hopeful of keeping Kante at the club and his asking the midfielder to make up his mind quickly.
“I have heard there is so much speculation behind him, I don’t want to lose him but I can understand if he wants to go.”
“We offered a new contract to him, he went away because he wanted to finish Euro 2016.
“At this point, I hope the team brings the maximum (transfer fee for him). I want him here. But I don’t know.
“I would like now to be sure who stays with me or not because now the friendlies start and I have to start to manage.
“I would like to understand if he stays with me or not. I speak often with him. If one is not happy with me I prefer that he goes,” he said.
