Super Eagles players get 2018 World Cup bonus

Ahead of the clash against South Africa in Uyo on Saturday,  players of Super Eagles Nigeria have been paid a win bonus of $5,000-a-man for their last year’s 2018 World Cup qualifying win in Zambia.

President  of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick   made the disclosure.

Recall that Nigeria defeated Zambia 2-1 in Ndola in October, but were yet to receive their entitlements.

While confirming the payment,  Pinnick said: “I can confirm to you that the team have been paid the bonus for the Zambia match” .

“We are now looking at the appearance fees for the friendlies against Senegal and Togo.”

The Eagles are entitled to $2,000 each as appearance fee for a friendly.

They will be paid $5,000-a-man if they beat South Africa in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday in Uyo.
