Buhari appoints five new DGs for health agencies

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed five new Directors-General of agencies under the Ministry of Health.

This was revealed by the Personal Assistant on New Media to the President, Bashir Ahmad on Friday.

Bahir, via his twitter handle, @BashirAhmaad, disclosed that the appointments “have already taken effect.”

He listed the agencies with new heads to include: Centre for Disease Control, CDC, National Agency for the Control of Aids, NACA, the Nigerian Institute for Medical Research, NIMR.

Others are, the National Primary Health Care Development Agency, NPHCDA, and the National Health Insurance Scheme, NHIS.

The SA gave the names of the new appointees and their institutions as: “NIMR – Prof Babatunde Salami, NACA – Dr Sani Aliyu, NHIS – Prof Usman Yusuf, NPHCDA – Prof Echezona Ezeanolue, and Dr Chikwe Andreas Ihekweazu for CDC.
