Aggrieved workers in Edo State under the aegis of Nigerian Union of Local Government Employee, NULGE, on Wednesday protested against the non-payment of their salary arrears in Benin City.

The protesting workers comprising employees from 18 local government councils of the state moved from Five junction through Ring road before making their way to Sapele road.

The protesters grounded commercial activities and traffic as they carried various placards, lamenting the failure of the local government authorities to pay their outstanding salaries ranging from two to 18 months.
