We had stable electricity under Buhari than Jonathan, we generated 7000 megawatts before militants’ activities – Amaechi

Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, has said that under this present administration of President Muhammadu Buhari Nigeria generated at least 7000 megawatts of electricity which made power outage a thing of the past as witnessed under former President Jonathan, DailyGlobeWatch can authoritatively reveal.

He made this claim during an interview with Osasu Igbinedion that Nigeria within one year of President Buhari assumption of power Nigeria stepped up electricity generation to the tune of 7000 megawatts which made power stable in Nigeria before the activities of militants in the Niger Delta whose bombings have cut off gas supplies to the country’s thermal stations.

He said the poor power generation in the country should not be blamed on President Muhammadu Buhari rather on the militants. Be that as it may, DailyGlobeWatch’s investigations have revealed never a time in Nigeria’s history the country has generated up to 7000 megawatts

His words:

“Don’t forget that until these so-called Avengers began to bomb, we had got to 7,000 megawatts, and what he promised was ten at the end of the first term,” Amaechi had said.

“By the time the avengers, or whatever they call them started bombing, the minister of power, had driven the thing to 7,000 megawatts. Unfortunately, they began to hit the gas facilities, so what would you do?”
