The 24-year-old captain (Neymar) for the first time in Olympic to lead the national team to the gold medal, scoring the winning penalty against Germany in a penalty shootout after his direct free-kick goal earlier in the game.

It was a long battled between Brazil and Germany after duo played 1 – 1 draw full time and exhausted the extra time ended on penalty.

While the star attacker dropped to his knees in tears moments after converting the decisive penalty in a narrow win that bestowed Brazil’s celebrations as they took home the gold medal for the first time in Olympic football.
