Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has congratulated Nigerian’s Dream Team VI for winning bronze at the Rio Olympic Games.
In a message to the team after they defeated Honduras in Brazil on Saturday, Wike commended the team for their dedication and hardwork since the start of the games.
Wike expressed happiness that the Dream started their journey to Brazil in Port Harcourt, Rivers State where the National Under-23 Football Team defeated their Congolese counterparts 2-1 in an Olympic Games qualifier.
He said that the Rivers State Government will continue to play host to national and international sporting events as a way of promoting friendship and empowering the youths.
