Rivers State Commissioner for Sports, Boma Iyaye has been suspended by the state governor, Nyesom Wike.
The suspension was contained in a statement issued in Port Harcourt by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu.
The commissioner was suspended alongside three others including the Head of Service and a Special Adviser.
The statement said the suspension is for three months, but no reason was given for the suspension.
Efforts to speak with Iyaye who is a former lawmaker in the state yielded no fruit at the time of this report.
