Navy arrested seven oil thieves in Delta

The Nigeria Navy on Saturday disclosed that it’s has arrested seven suspected oil thieves in Delta State.

A statement by Navy Director of Information, Commodore Christian Ezekobe, disclosed that the suspects were apprehended on September 7, 2016 at Sara Creek, in the State.

According to Ezekobe, the patrol team destroyed three Cotonou boats laden with an unquantified stolen crude oil.

The team also recovered “one speed boat, a Cotonou boat carrying 15×10,000 liters and 2 x 5000 liters GP tanks laden with suspected illegally refined Automotive Gas oil” from the suspected oil thieves.
