APC chieftain assassinated in Rivers State

Tragedy struck Monday night in Rivers State as an All Progressives Congress, APC, member, Mr.  Boris Neenwi, was brutally murdered by yet to be identified gunmen.

 According to sources, the deceased, Boris Neenwi who hails from Yeghe community in Gokana Local Government Area of the state was shot dead in Nonwa alongside three other persons who were with him.

Yeghe is the home town of wanted ex-Niger Delta warlord, Solomon Ndigbara.

Boris Neenwi was a chieftain of the APC, a former councillor of Yeghe community who just finished his law program from Maiduguri a few months ago.

The assassination comes one months after a lawyer to Rivers APC, Ken Atsuete was also assassinated in the state.

The police in the state is yet to comment on the development.
