Rivers: Ken Poly expel 7 students for involvement in cultism

Rector of Kenule Beeson Saro Wiwa Polytechnic Bori,  in Rivers State, Dr. Onengiyeofori Georgewill has warned students to shun cultism or face the full wrath of the law.

Georgewill gave the charge following the expulsion of 7 students from the institution  for cult related activities.

A statement signed by the Rector,  stated that the management of the school has zero tolerance for cultism and is liaising with security agents to flush out cultists and hoodlums from the Polytechnic community.

He tasked parents and guardians to advise their children who are cultists to denounce their membership and focus on their studies.

The statement further said that activities of commercial motorcycles popularly called Okada have been ban from the institution and warned lecturers to stop intimidating or extorting money from students for grades, stressing that student evaluation exercise will be put in place to address this anomaly.
