Disloyalty to Amaechi: Etche APC Caucus suspends Onyesoh, appoints Nwuke new leader

The leadership of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Etche local government area of Rivers State has removed Chief Allwell Onyesoh as the leader of the party in the area.

To this end,  Hon. Ogbonna Nwuke has been appointed as the new chairman of Etche Caucus of the party.

Ogbonna Nwuke is a former House  Representatives member for Etche/Omuma Federal Constituency.

 Onyesoh who is a former Commissioner for Sports and former Chairman of the Rivers State Senior Secondary Schools Board, RSSSB, was suspended over alleged anti-party activities.

The APC Caucus in Etche in a statement made available to newsmen IN Port Harcourt accused Allwell Onyesoh of causing disharmony among party members and destabilizing the APC in Etche.

According to the statement, the resolve to suspend  Onyesoh as leader of the party was reached after an extra-ordinary meeting with some major stakeholders of in the area to examine burning issues affecting the future and welfare of the party last Saturday in Okehi.

The statement reads in part, “We are witnesses to the unbridled, uncharitable and unguarded actions and utterances by some of us led by Chief Allwell Onyesoh.

“Our brother and friend Allwell Onyesoh has become reckless in so many ways in his desperate reactions to sensitive matters which ordinarily should call for great caution, tact and understanding.

“He has exhibited great disrespect to, and disregard for the person of our undisputed leader and Minister for Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi”.

The caucus also accused Onyesoh of disrespecting constituted authorities of the party at the state level with selfish interest, notinh that the Etche people are irrevocably and committed to the leadership of Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.
