Wike threatens Rivers APC members with machete , says he will cut them down

The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has reportedly threatened to unleash violence on members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state.

Speaking in Calabar, the state capital, Wike, wielding a machete threatened to use it to hack down members of APC in the state.

This was revealed in a video which has since gone viral online, the governor could be heard saying, “Since you have given me this machete in Rivers State, I will not look back, I will use it and cut all of them, APC.

“Is there any APC again here? They should hear now, before our people said nothing but now they have given us the go ahead.

“I didn’t come here with this machete, it was when I came here that they gave it to me and the implication of using this tool is to clear all the unwanted.

“All those that know don’t come closer to me because my people have given me the instrument to go to war and with this you don’t want me to catch you,” the governor was quoted as saying in the video.

Meanwhile, the state government through the Special assistant to the Governor on Electronic Media, Simeon Nwakaudu, has debunked the allegation, saying that it is the handiwork of the APC in the state.

He said the video was photo shopped just to smear the image of the governor
