Ekiti: Fayose replaces Adeyeye with Adesina as EKSU Council Chair

The crisis rocking the Ekiti State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) took another turn on Thursday as the state government announced the replacement of Prince Dayo Adeyeye as the chairman of the state owned university.

Adeyeye who is the interim national publicity secretary of the party had earlier on Wednesday resigned his appointment as a sign of his displeasureaftermath of the open endorsement of the state’s Deputy Governor, Professor Kolapo Eleka as the party’s candidate for next year’s governorship poll.

He subsequently promised to teach the state governor, Mr. Ayo Fayose ‘some political lesson shortly after tendering his letter of resignation to the state government.

Announcing the replacement of Adeyeye in a statement issued on Thursday, the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Modupe Alade wrote said her boss has accepted the resignation.

“The state government has accepted the resignation of Prince Dayo Adeyeye as Chairman, Governing Council of the Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti (EKSU).

“Consequently, Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has approved the appointment of Mr Dele Adesina (SAN) as the new chairman of the university governing council. The appointment takes immediate effect.”
