Nigeria stagnant under APC—Wike

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has berated the All Progressives Congress, APC-led Federal Government, saying the country has not made any progress since the government came on board.

Speaking during a thanksgiving service for Rivers South East Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, candidates in December 10, 2016 rerun legislative election at the All Saints Cathedral, Bori, Khana Local Government Area,, Wike called on the Federal Government to focus on resolving electoral challenges in the country instead of fighting “hate speeches with fluid definition.”

He  said though he had respect for President Muhammadu Buhari, it will be a disservice to the nation to say the APC-led government has not failed Nigerians.

He said the reported fight against corruption was merely intended  to distract Nigerians from the realities of the failure of the APC administration.

Earlier, former senator representing the district, Olaka Nwogu, who spoke on behalf of PDP candidates for the Rivers South-East senatorial district, said if elections in the area were based on the results from the field, PDP would have won all the seats.
