Gunmen hijack another passenger bus in Port Harcourt

… Police launch manhunt

Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have attacked another commercial bus along the Owerri, Imo State road, between Elele and Omurelu communities in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.

DAILY POST gathered that the bus, which had eighteen passengers on board, was traveling from Port Harcourt to Owerri when it was intercepted by the hoodlums who diverted it into the forest.

A source at Omurelu told our correspondent that the abduction happened last night.

Our source further disclosed that a man, his wife and two children were kidnapped on the same axis and their vehicle was abandoned by the roadside a day before the latest attack.

A senior officer at the Elele Police Station who also confirmed the incidents to our correspondent on telephone, added that security operatives had launched a manhunt for the kidnappers in a bid to rescue the victims.
