Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed what he discussed with the governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom during their close door meeting on Tuesday.

Ortom had met with the president at the Presidential Villa, Abuja over the persistent Fulani herdsmen attacks in Benue State.

In a tweet via his official Twitter handle, Buhari expressed his commitment towards the security of lives and property in the state.

On measures to arrest the situation, Buhari said security operatives have been deployed to Benue to “fish out the attackers.”

The president wrote “I just met with the Governor of Benue State. I assured Governor Ortom of our total commitment to the security of lives & property in Benue and elsewhere.

“We have deployed additional security resources to fish out the attackers, bring them to justice, and prevent further attacks.”
