Europa League: Cazorla, Mkhitaryan males Arsenal’s squad

Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has included Santi Cazorla in his Europa League squad.

The Spaniard has not played for the Gunners since October 2016, when he picked up an Achilles injury.

Last year, the 33-year-old revealed how his leg was almost amputated, following a string of surgeries.

Wenger has so far refused to put a timescale on his return, but the latest news will come as a real boost to Arsenal fans.

Europa League clubs had to submit an updated squad list for the knockout stages.

However, new signing, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, did not make the list having played for Borussia Dortmund earlier in this campaign.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan is included as his fellow new boy Konstantinos Mavropanos.

The spaces in the squad came following the departures of Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott, Olivier Giroud and Francis Coquelin to other clubs.
