Former chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC in Delta State, Chief Adolo Okotie-Eboh has said the leadership crisis bedeviling the state chapter of the party was rooted in selfish and personal interest of the actors.
Okotie-Eboh in a statement made available to newsmen said those promoting the crisis were not “taking the interest of the party into consideration”, stressing the need for the interest of the party to be uppermost in the heart of members of the party.
Suggesting the way forward, he said “ Any aspirant should not be allowed to pocket the party for their personal interest”, adding that “every aspirant should queue behind the leadership of the party. We should learn to respect our leaders also be guided by the rules and regulations of the party.
“So the way forward is that the congress which elected the officers on Monday the 21st June are the rightful officers and should be recognized as such.
“My advice to my party faithful is that they should always think of the party first before themselves then their benefits will follow”.
