Presidential Rally: PDP raises alarm over Amaechi’s threat

By: Felix Ikpotor

Following the threat comments credited to the minister of transportation, Chibuike Amaechi at the Presidential Rally in Port Harcourt yesterday, the Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has called on  security agencies and other relevant agencies to keep record of all the threats and inciting comments he aired out on the 2019 general elections in the state.

Bro Felix Obuah, the State PDP chairman raised the alert against the backdrop of Amaechi’s  threat at the APC presidential rally  at the Adokiye Amasiemaka Stadium, Port Harcourt where he, (Amaechi) said he was solely relocating to Rivers State for a fight during the election.

Obuah in a statement by his media aide, Jerry Needam  said Amaechi  may not be alone in this plot as another APC chieftain in the State, Tonye Princewill had earlier revealed that the APC would be lawless during the elections in the State.

He recalled a similar threat by Amaechi in 2016 during the re-run elections when in collaboration with security agencies Amaechi unleashed mayhem on Rivers people, an incident that claimed several lives of innocent persons in the State.

While warning that the Rivers people abhor blood-letting in whatever disguise, the State PDP boss said the state would no longer accept such act of hooliganism from whoever or whatever quarters and urged the security agencies not to look the other way as before, while Amaechi had a field day exterminating “our people” in the name of election

“A stitch in time saves nine,” Bro Obuah noted.
