Rivers Election: INEC fact-finding committee storms PH, demands units results

Following the suspension of ther collation of election results in Rivers State,  a Fact-Finding Committee sent by the Headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to investigate the alleged manipulation of the Rivers State Governorship results  stormed Port Harcourt yesterday.

The Committee which was led by a national commissioner of the commission landed at the Comission’s state headquarters along Port/Harcourt/Aba expressway  and immediately swung into action .

Although journalist were barred from covering the session, sources at the meeting said that the committee requested duplicate polling unit results of the various polling units from security agencies and party agents who received same after voting.

We also gathered that direct Collation of all polling units results have started.

Party agents and different security agencies entitled to duplicate copies have supplied same for direct Collation.

It was gathered that 19 Local Government Areas polling units results collated have been computed.

It would be recalled that already, Engr, Biokpomabo Awara whom is the governorship candidate of the African Action Congress, ACC, had on Monday demanded that he should be declared governor-elect after he allegedly that INEC REC in the state was working with the incumbent governor and candidate of the PDP, Nyesom Wike.
